Nationwide Children's to Acquire Knox Hospital Pediatric Practice
Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, plans to acquire Knox Community Hospital's pediatric practice at the Wright Family Medical Pavilion in Mount Vernon, Ohio, according to an Oct. 21 joint news release. The acquired practice will merge with Mount Vernon Pediatrics, a Nationwide Children's affiliate, with services continuing at the same location through a transition expected to finish by spring 2027. Separately, Nationwide Children's physicians will begin providing 24/7 on-call coverage and medical direction for Knox Community Hospital's newborn nursery by March. Knox's family medicine providers will continue treating pediatric patients alongside the expanded collaboration.
