Ascension Seton to Acquire Austin-Area Hospital, Two Urgent Care Sites
Ascension Seton has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Family Hospital at Lake Travis and two urgent care and primary care centers in the north Austin area from Family Hospital Systems, according to an Oct. 1 news release. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency and inpatient care, while the two Cedar Park-based sites offer urgent care, primary care and on-site imaging. Ascension Seton, part of St. Louis-based Ascension, says the deal will expand emergency access in Austin's fast-growing outer metro suburbs. The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to customary closing conditions.
