Judge Approves $700K Retention Fund for Redeemer Health Staff
A federal bankruptcy judge approved a fund paying roughly $700,000 combined to 29 "key" employees of Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania-based Redeemer Health to stay with the system through its Chapter 11 process, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. Redeemer filed for Chapter 11 protection on November 2, and Judge Derek Baker approved the retention fund on November 4. The plan is tiered: seven employees in core clinical operations get 20% of base salary ($244,839 total), 20 employees in clinical service lines and corporate support get 15% ($451,815 total), and two employees in credentialing and administrative support get 10% ($11,830 total). The move follows the September departures of several executives, including CEO Greg Wozniak and CFO Kim Cummings.
