Arkansas nonprofit launches GME center to expand physician training in rural areas

Heartland Whole Health Institute, a nonprofit founded by Alice Walton, has launched a statewide Graduate Medical Education Technical Assistance Center in Arkansas focused on expanding physician residency training in rural and underserved communities. The institute released a report outlining strategies to grow the physician pipeline through GME program development.
