Experian Health Acquires eInsights for Back-End Coverage Discovery
Experian Health has acquired eInsights, a company that identifies patient insurance coverage, including retroactive Medicaid, secondary coverage and coordination of benefits, that providers missed at registration. eInsights also offers timely filing denial prevention and Disproportionate Share Hospital reporting, and has helped its 200-plus healthcare clients recover more than $225 million in reimbursement. The deal extends Experian Health's existing front-end insurance discovery tools to the back end of the revenue cycle. It comes as providers prepare for more frequent Medicaid eligibility redeterminations starting January 1, 2027, when a federal law requires states to recheck eligibility for expansion adults every six months instead of annually.
