Quorum Affiliate's Purchase of Banner Lassen Hospital Delayed to 2027

Banner Health confirms that its sale of Banner Lassen Medical Center in Susanville, Calif. to an affiliate of Quorum Health is nearing final regulatory review, with the California attorney general's office set to review the deal once state reviews of Quorum's conversion to a nonprofit are complete. The ownership change is now expected March 31, 2027, later than the previously anticipated December 2026 closing. The two organizations signed an asset purchase agreement in late June and say they are working together on a transition focused on continuity of patient care and community services.
