Wisconsin Newsroom Collective Compiles Pre-Election Issue Coverage, Including Medicaid

The Northeast Wisconsin News Lab, a collaboration among the Appleton Post-Crescent, Green Bay Press-Gazette, Green Bay Press Times, Wisconsin Public Radio and Wisconsin Watch, published a roundup of 10 issues-focused stories ahead of Wisconsin's Nov. 3 election. The compilation spans topics including the economy, education, public safety, the environment, and health care. One health care story examines what Wisconsin might learn from other states that implemented Medicaid work requirements early, while another covers funding shortages facing the 988 Crisis Lifeline. The roundup also links to candidate questionnaire responses on health care and other issues across numerous state legislative and congressional races.

Why it mattersState Medicaid stakeholders should note that candidate positions on work requirements and behavioral health funding, compiled here for voters, signal potential policy direction depending on election outcomes.
