Becker's Reports Three Hospital M&A Deals Involving Louisiana, Tennessee Systems
In its weekly hospital M&A roundup, Becker's Hospital Review reports three deals from the week of Oct. 5. Quorum Health is finishing state reviews to convert Banner Lassen Medical Center in California to nonprofit status before acquisition, with closing now expected March 31, 2027, pending attorney general review, delayed from an earlier December 2026 target. Allegiance Health Management plans to divest four Louisiana hospitals, Minden Medical Center, Northern Louisiana Medical Center, Acadian Medical Center, and Mercy Regional Medical Center, without naming buyers or a timeline. HCA Healthcare closed its sale of 31 home health and hospice agencies across eight states to Deaconess Associations, which will fold them into its Central Pyramid subsidiary.
