Five Hospital Systems Close M&A Deals in Early November
Becker's Hospital Review reports five hospital acquisitions completed in the first two days of November. Novant Health acquired Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy, N.C., its second rural North Carolina hospital in five months. Bon Secours Mercy Health acquired Fauquier Health in Warrenton, Va. from Lifepoint Health, entering Northern Virginia and reaching 48 hospitals system-wide. Other deals include MultiCare Health System's affiliation with Samaritan Health Services, UW Health's acquisition of a Marshfield, Wis. campus from Sanford Health, and Baystate Health's takeover of Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. from Trinity Health of New England.
