Jefferson Health, Horizon BCBS Contract Dispute Threatens NJ Network

Jefferson Health and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield have reached a contract impasse that could remove three South Jersey hospitals, in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township, from Horizon's network starting March 1, 2027. Jefferson says Horizon abruptly ended negotiations, while Horizon says Jefferson is demanding $185 million more over three years and canceled an already-reached agreement covering members who rely on Medicaid for coverage.
